Why ?? What is the default setting at the top of the file, managed? If you just want to manage the 172.x.x.x network you'll need to set it to "unmanaged". > After that i have done a additional rule to unmanage > ip-ranges with: > > <ip-management policy="unmanaged"> > <specific>0.0.0.0</specific> > <range begin="1.1.1.1" end="171.xxx.xxx.xxx"/> > </ip-management> > > Ok, now i do it again ;) In the WebUI the interface is correctly set > to > unmanaged but i was wondering he detects all services again *GRRRR* ;) Hrm, that could be a bug. If an interface is not included in a collection package it will not be eligible for becoming a primary interface. > Thinking about a use-case: > If you have changing ip-adresses on dialup-routers, then you will > get for each > new ip-adress from isp a new interface ? I manually add the node, set the IPs and services, and set the primary SNMP interface. If a node has a foreignid it will not be scanned by capsd. -T _______________________________________________________________________ Tarus Balog, OpenNMS Maintainer Main: +1 919 533 0160 The OpenNMS Group, Inc.
