[opennms-devel] Status and Direction of Distributed Monitoring.

Hello OpenNMS Developers,

In the next month, I will begin setting up OpenNMS at our location.
Distributed monitoring is a feature that seems very desirable to the
department directors.  We want to have remote pollers behind firewalls that
report system status information back to the main NMS server.  I will be
spending most of my time on OpenNMS deployment and development over the next
9-12 months.  Could someone please summarize the status of Distributed
Polling and also let me know who is working on these features so I can work
with them and not step on any toes or duplicate code writing?
