You`ve right my default policy in capsd-config is "managed". To better debug i
have installed version 8444 from svn to describe my issues with latest version.
I have set my default policy to "unmanage" and defined

  <ip-management policy="managed">
     <-- my range -->
  </ip-management>

I have added my router and capsd runs against my internal LAN-IP with no problem
all services ICMP, SNMP, StrafePing detected successfully. Debugging capsd.log
shows that my official-ip is scanned too ;(

I have put the range in collect-config and that works fine. The primary
SNMP-Interface is now the internal LAN-IP in ip-management-range.

I delete the node and tried to add as provisioning-ip. Ok you've right, capsd
skip the scan for that ip, but i can not collect snmp performance-datas for the
other non-ip interfaces, because the interface-tables where not collected. All
the great things to see all my interfaces and descriptions where not collected,
cause capsd does not run. Ok it is clear, that manual rescan do not work.
