[opennms-devel] Balasan: Re: ask for opennms uml diagram

Thank you for all of your attention and answer. Yup i have been looking for the UML in documentation directory and i found none. I need the uml diagram to learn how each opennms class works. Hatim, than you very much for your explaination, have you make the class diagram???? if so, could you upload it or send me via email.

With the mix of ORM and Dependecny Injection technologies it would
be not easy to make UML in the first place which would describe the
OpenNMS architecture in its true sense.

Never the less you could generate atleast Class Diagrams with the
opennms code base (other structure specific diagrams can also be
generated except for deployment diagram (check out Eclipse UML tools), 

but in most cases class diagram and package diagram is all you need). 

Other UML diagrams like Use Case, Sequence Diagram (behavior specific) would 
have to be discussed very extensively in order to accomodate the technologies 
involved. One could make pseudo diagram which simplify the explanation,
but they would have to be made by the people coding and designing.

I would try to scribble some UML specific notes in my Summer of Code
project (hibernate migration) but it will not be a priority by a long shot.

May I ask, whay do you requier UML Diagrams?
