Sebastien; Try disabling the 'EnhancedLinkd' service in 'etc/service-configuration.xml' and restarting. If this solves the issue, you're running into https://issues.opennms.org/browse/NMS-9505, which is fixed in 20.0.2. -Jesse On 08/24/2017 01:13 PM, Sebastian Perkins - Hoist Group - Switzerland wrote: > > Some updates, > > > > Week old VM backup restored : works. > > > > Down to hunting… the working /etc/opennms has been rsynced over, still have the 100% cpu hang > > > > The only diff is either a DB issue (dump/rename/create/import done so no corruption there) with the data in it… or > patching > > > > These are the recent jessie security packages not yet installed > > > > libmspack0 libxml2 libxml2-utils > > Are causing the issue ? > > > > I am running 20.0.1, not sure if 20.0.2 would fix this… > > > > Sebastian > > > > *From:*Sebastian Perkins - Hoist Group - Switzerland > *Sent:* Thursday, August 24, 2017 17:06 > *To:* '[email protected]' > *Subject:* opennms 20.1 runs fine but... > > > > Hi All, > > > > We have been evaluating opennms 20 and now 20.1 (perfect migration), with all the usual tests and enhancements to our > systems. > > > > However yesterday we deleted a node, and discovery does not seems to work. > > > > We restarted opennms… and its still hanging at 100% (that’s 1x cpu more or less) since 30min… Normally we get a big > 350% as java kicks in, then after 2min everything is up. > > > > No web, no jetty, and no errors in any debug mode log… > > > > We are running the debian Jessie, latest kernel patch applied, same results… > > > > Thanks for any help ! > > > > Sebastian > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most > engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot > > > _______________________________________________ > Please read the OpenNMS Mailing List FAQ: > http://www.opennms.org/index.php/Mailing_List_FAQ > > opennms-discuss mailing list > > To *unsubscribe* or change your subscription options, see the bottom of this page: > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/opennms-discuss ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot _______________________________________________ Please read the OpenNMS Mailing List FAQ: http://www.opennms.org/index.php/Mailing_List_FAQ opennms-discuss mailing list To *unsubscribe* or change your subscription options, see the bottom of this page: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/opennms-discuss
