Thanks Cyrille,

Our OpenNMS is 18.0.0-1. That would be great if we can do search based on the ifName which we normally know.

Under Home/Admin/Select SNMP Interfaces UI, I can’t find “Search/Filter SNMP interfaces” field. Would the new version support that?

Best regards,
Thomas

Hi Thomas,
You've several options.
The easiest one in your case is probably to filter the list using the "Search/Filter SNMP interfaces" field just above the snmp interfaces list.
Should be straightforward if you know the ifName, ifDescr, or ifAlias of the interface for which you want to enable collection.
Which version are you using?
Best regards,
Cyrille

Hi,

I am quite new in managing Opennms. We have an instance running for awhile now collecting snmp interface stats for 7 juniper routers. I have a question regarding to enabling the snmp polling. In the SNMP interface UI, it lists all the interfaces in no particular order. One of our routers has more them 900 interfaces, I need to go through the entire list to find the one I want to enable the collection. Is there any way the list of interfaces is being sorted by ifDescr or ifName? This would be quite helpful because we know which interface we want to monitor.

Thanks in Advance!

Best regards,
-Thomas
