problem with Opaque data types in snmp data collection

Is it possible to collect snmp Opaque values in Opennms? I'm trying to collect laLoadFloat from UCD-SNMp-MIB but using gauge or integer32 as data type in datacollection-config file, jrb files are still showing NaN.
