Hi,
I'm running OpenNMS version 21.0.2 on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS x64 Server on
dedicated hardware (not in a VM). So far I have my installation tuned for
performance and it's polling 306 Cisco nodes with nearly 1400 interfaces
with ease. Now I'm working on setting up custom alerts and I'm having a
problem importing a specific MIB file, the CISCO-TS.my MIB.
I've scoured the internet for a solution and I've seen that it may be as
simple as changing a letter's case or some other silly fix - I haven't been
able to figure it out yet. The MIB compiler in OpenNMS is saying:
RROR: Cannot find imported symbol TEXTUAL-CONVENTION in module
/usr/share/opennms/share/mibs/pending/CISCO-TC.my, Source:
CISCO-TC.my, Row: 20, Col: 5
TEXTUAL-CONVENTION
^
I've seen the Tales from the MIB
<https://wiki.opennms.org/wiki/Tales_From_The_MIB> Wiki entry for OpenNMS.
I've ran the MIB through Simpleweb's MIB verification tool, and even it is
showing problems with the MIB file, depending on the severity level. I've
tried multiple CISCO-TC MIB files as well. Some report different errors
than others, but the error I've shared above is the most informative. Can
anyone assist me in getting this MIB to compile on OpenNMS? I've done my
research and I've come to a dead end.
Thank you kindly and Happy New Year!
