Alasdair,

A node with one of those specific IP addresses needs to have the StrafePing service assigned to that IP address.

To assign a service to a node would be as simple as this:

# provision.pl service add <foreign-source> <foreign-id> <ip-address> StrafePing
# provision.pl requisition import <foreign-source>

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question. I've searched the wiki (no results for strafe, hundreds for "assign" and "interface"), and the admin and user guides and poked around the UI and I can't find an answer. It might be in the YouTube videos somewhere (which I will watch) but I need to get this into a demo soon, so I'm asking here.

How do I add strafeping as a service to an interface?

I'm trying to get strafeping graphs for three IPs, my firewall LAN interface and my ISPs DNS servers as a test of the WAN link.

I'm running Horizon 22.0 and using NEWTS as my persistence database.

The 203.109 addresses were added as part of a requisition, which didn't give me the option to add strafeping as a service. The 192. address was added as part of discovery.

The poller configuration is below, it's as per default except for the specific IPs. The interfaces are in the Latency category and I've tried <filter>categoryName == 'Latency'</filter> as well.
