Ø  The update was successful without problems and both the db and OpenNMS services were started regularly, but when I try the webpage nothing appears; obviously I tried another update with the same result.

Typically I delete /opt/opennms/data after the upgrade if this problem occurs. This almost always solved the problem of the empty web page. So obviously there is some sort of cache in the directories below /opt/opennms/data which is responsible for the problem.

Be careful - you wrote you are using topology and probably put a lot of work in it. I lost the whole maps I configured in topology during the last update, I assume when deleting those files/directories. I never had the time to open a ticket about this, maybe someone can tell which files are holding the topology information. I would stop opennms, make a copy of those files, then delete them and give it a try.
