Hi Yusufdeen,

e.g. from my own /etc/opennms/thresholds.xml

     <group name="netsnmp" rrdRepository="/var/lib/opennms/rrd/snmp/">
...
         <threshold
             description="Trigger an alert when the percentage of inodes used on any disk (excluding the specified special paths) reaches or goes above 90% for two consecutive measurement intervals"
             type="high" ds-type="dskIndex" value="90.0" rearm="75.0"
             trigger="2" ds-label="ns-dskPath" filterOperator="and" ds-name="ns-dskPercentNode">
             <resource-filter field="ns-dskPath">^(?!(/proc|/sys|/dev/pts|/run|/home|/mnt/home|/var/lib/nfs/rpc_pipefs)).*$</resource-filter>
             <resource-filter field="ns-dskDevice">^(?!(/dev/loop)).*$</resource-filter>
         </threshold>
....
     </group>

You should be able to modify your own thresholds in a similar way to do
a RegEx match of paths or devices to exclude... Note that we don't
exclude /dev but do exclude /dev/pts

I'm actually a bit puzzled about your situation and wonder if you're
trying to solve the right problem... On modern Linux systems /dev is a
special 'devfs' filesystem and shouldn't be subject to disk space problems.

Hope this helps

Regards

Jonathan
