Thanks Dino. Yes didn’t mean to imply I was concerned about the symlink itself. The NFS filer is a massive Netapp. Have there been reports of NFS-level I/O being an issue? Mine is symlinked to a location on another (local) disk. The only concern I would have is the IO performance of your NFS export.
