This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --===============0967470406214610171== Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="------------983A439B099D99510D4A9D8F" Content-Language: en-US This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --------------983A439B099D99510D4A9D8F Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit I am just starting to get familiar with OpenNMS. I have a question on syslog messages -- is there a place the messages themselves are logged to? I changed the log4j2.xml key for syslogd to DEBUG just so that I could verify that the messages were, in fact, getting there with a fairly harmless message like an interface shutdown. I see in the syslogd.log that they got there and they did initiate an Event that shows up in the GUI. My preference at this point is to be able to log messages without necessarily generating an Event, just to have a repository of messages that I elect to have my devices send. I can't find where the raw messages that I have received are located. Are they somewhere? Where? Thanks ... -- Chris Bradt [email protected] --------------983A439B099D99510D4A9D8F Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"> </head> <body text="#000000" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> <font face="Arial">I am just starting to get familiar with OpenNMS.
