All,

I am trying to get Rancid working with OpenNMS 1.8.1 and I have looked
through the documentation at http://www.opennms.org/wiki/RANCID_RWS.
However, this documentation appears to be for 1.7 and doesn't really make
sense. It doesn’t mention the opennms-plugin-provisioning-rancid-1.8.1-1
RPM.

What I am looking for are some instructions on getting rancid integrated
with 1.8. Please note I am new to OpenNMS but have a fair understanding of
Linux and other network management tools.

Here are the RPMs I have installed:

[root@localhost ~]# rpm -qa | grep opennms

opennms-plugin-provisioning-rancid-1.8.1-1

opennms-plugin-provisioning-dns-1.8.1-1

opennms-repo-stable-1.0-12

opennms-webapp-jetty-1.8.1-1

opennms-1.8.1-1

opennms-plugin-provisioning-link-1.8.1-1

opennms-plugin-ticketer-centric-1.8.1-1

opennms-plugins-1.8.1-1

opennms-core-1.8.1-1

opennms-plugin-provisioning-map-1.8.1-1
