Install error WARNING: unable to load /usr/share/opennms/etc/opennms.properties

I'm following the install instructions in http://www.opennms.org/wiki/Installation:Debian, and at '$OPENNMS_HOME/bin/install -dis' I get this error:

admin@opennms:~$ sudo $OPENNMS_HOME/bin/install -dis

WARNING: unable to load /usr/share/opennms/etc/opennms.properties
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.Exception: property "importer.requisition.dir" not set from bundled installer.properties file
	at org.opennms.install.Installer.fetchProperty(Installer.java:456)
	at org.opennms.install.Installer.loadProperties(Installer.java:431)
	at org.opennms.install.Installer.install(Installer.java:166)
	at org.opennms.install.Installer.main(Installer.java:964)

In directory '/usr/share/opennms/etc/' all files are there but they have a '.dpkg-new' extension. So I created a symbolic link named 'opennms.properties' pointing to 'opennms.properties.dpkg-new'. But that doesn't seem to be the problem, the problem is an entry for 'importer.requisition.dir' not included in this properties file.

Any help is appreciated.
