The other Java application is starting up and trying to initialize an RMI service to the same interface and port that OpenNMS is using (the default one).  OpenNMS is catching this exception during startup and exiting.  We probably should not do that and just throw a WARN in the logs and keep starting since that service is not required.

However, you do this:

cat "MANAGER_OPTIONS=""" >> /opt/opennms/etc/opennms.conf

and restart.  That should prevent OpenNMS from initializing the RMI service.
