If you look at my original message, when I attempted to run jicmp from the command line (listing 3), the error included this message: "java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /usr/lib/libjicmp.so: /usr/lib/libjicmp.so: ELF file OS ABI invalid" could this give any indication as to the source of my problems? A little googling reveals that this may be due to differences in archtecture between the target archtecture and the architecture of the build machine, but I have no way of knowing what was used to build the jicmp code distributed in the RPM.
