Michael... I think I forgot to mention my environment... Win 2003 Server, Java 1.5.0.22 SDK (downgraded just in case from 1.6.0.24), Postgres 1.8.4 Let me know if my environment makes a different in your recommendation. Uninstalled and removed files from opennms. I cleaned the installation of both program, restart the server and started over. As I said, it's a configuration issue, not a problem with PostgreSQL. Incidentally, Postgres 1 was released in 1995, I think you're talking about PostgreSQL 8.4, or 9.0? =) > Exception in thread "main" org.exolab.castor.xml.MarshalException: The entity name must immediately follow the '&' in the entity reference.{File: [not available]; line: 20; column: 40} This points to a problem with (most likely) your opennms-datasources.xml, or another configuration file. Look for poorly-formed XML (an "&" without being properly-escaped). Try running "xmllint" on all of the .xml files in your $OPENNMS_HOME/etc directory. - -- Benjamin Reed The OpenNMS Group http://www.opennms.org/ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG/MacGPG2 v2.0.17 (Darwin) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iD8DBQFNrunnUu+jZtP2Zf4RAl5BAJ4+pDecRuBbMrJudr7o5SbJR4qwsACgmOpW PmRQfN+L/kXKNpExqeobgAQ= =0rLQ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- Benefiting from Server Virtualization: Beyond Initial Workload Consolidation -- Increasing the use of server virtualization is a top priority.Virtualization can reduce costs, simplify management, and improve application availability and disaster protection.
