OpenNMS starts then stops right away

I was running OpenNMS on a Ubuntu Server LTS 10.4.1, which resides on a Xen Server. OpenNMS worked fine. When I updated the Server a few months back, Ubuntu stopped booting, until I rolled back to the previous kernel. OpenNMS stilled worked fine. Just recently, OpenNMS stopped running. It starts , then stops, saying "opennmsstarted OpenNMS, but it stopped running: for details see /var..../output.log. In the log I see "An error ocurrd while attempting to start the "OpenNMS:Name=Rtcd" service.... Any ideas on how to fix this??
