OpenNMS over VMWARE ESXi

Hi All,

 

I want to install OpenNMS over VMWare ESXi 4 Server, but according to below
mentioned link, VMWare is not recommended..

I have prepared two virtual Servers, one for Database and one for OpenNMS
Server.. 

 

Should I go live using VMWARE ESXi or not? 

 

Can anybody explain , why it's not recommended?
