I am attempting to install OpenNMS under CentOS 5.7 using the directions at http://www.opennms.org/wiki/Installation:Yum. I am able to install the correct RPM using rpm -Uvh http://yum.opennms.org/repofiles/opennms-repo-stable-rhel5.noarch.rpm without issue. This appears to install the files opennms-stable-common.repo, opennms-stable-rhel5.repo, and OPENNMS-GPG-KEY into /etc/yum.repos.d/. However, when I attempt to verify that the repos are valid using yum search opennms, I get the following output: http://yum.opennms.org/common/common/repodata/repomd.xml: [Errno 14] HTTP Error 404: Not Found Trying other mirror. Error: Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: opennms-common-common. Please verify its path and try again I did some digging and found the first repo listed in opennms-stable-common.repo points to http://yum.opennms.org/common/common, which a quick web browse shows to not exist. However, http://yum.opennms.org/stable/common/ does exist, so I decided to test nuking the section with the previous info out of the file. Doing a yum search opennms this time resulted in the following: opennms-stable-common | 1.3 kB 00:00 opennms-stable-common/primary | 33 kB 00:00 http://yum.opennms.org/stable/common/repodata/primary.xml.gz: [Errno -3] Error performing checksum Trying other mirror. opennms-stable-common/primary | 33 kB 00:00 http://yum.opennms.org/stable/common/repodata/primary.xml.gz: [Errno -3] Error performing checksum Trying other mirror. Error: failure: repodata/primary.xml.gz from opennms-stable-common: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try. I also tried doing a manual re-import of the GPG key using rpm --import http://yum.opennms.org/OPENNMS-GPG-KEY which resulted in the same error. Would appreciate any assistance, thanks! -Patrick Karjala ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Write once. Port to many.
