Can you use snmpwalk to connect to one of the nodes and view the tree? ex: snmpwalk -v2c -cCommunity_string xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx Have you opened the SNMP port in the Windows firewall? I got a premade VM for it and managed to add the nodes to watch. It shows them up except the snmp always shows as down. I looked up how to enable snmp (just generic on google) and did on one of the machines, but it still shows as down, so I obviously did it wrong. Most of the machines we are using are xp pro, some 7 pro, and a couple windows server. can anyone walk me through that part of the set up either on the server side or the opennms side, whichever I probably haven't done right?
