I think that will help considerably.
Is there a way to define the "snmp Engine-ID" for OpenNMS in the
trapd-configuration.xml file? or alternatively, figure out what the
default or existing Engine-ID is?
I can't create the snmp remote user on the Cisco routers until I define
the remote Engine-ID of the OPenNMS trap receiver. Cisco docs are vague
on this so I'm only assuming this parameter needs to match at both ends
but it may just be an arbitrary unique identifier. I've yet to figure
that out.
