I did some tuning and so far so good. I also noticed that when I get the Node down message it gets send twice but only once on resolve. I adjusted Timeout settings from 2000ms to 5000ms and now 10000ms and still happening at the same rate as before. OpenNMS doesn't just make that up. Whatever test applies has actually failed or the server isn't able to keep up with the polling you are trying to do.
