Two comments for this thread: 1. Have you looked into adjusting the initial-delay for your destination path? You could setup an escalation to email out after 1m of downtime. This should help to prevent some of the "30s" up/down notifications. 2. Did your two node-down notifications have the same notice id? If not, then you might have two notifications setup for the node-down messages.
