For SNMP information, the SNMP agent must be activated on your switches using SNMPv1, SNMPv2c or SNMPv3. You must then set OpenNMS according to the version of SNMP used, so as to collect snmp information. Depending on your windows firewall setting, you may need to allow traffic on your chosen port. I have been able to install it with no issues. I have discovered all my switches, that will be the main use switch monitoring, but I can’t get it to show me any kind of syslog or snmp information. I have been looking on the Wiki but there is nothing in regards to the windows installation. Can someone help me out? I know what I want it to do but not sure how to get there via windows… any and all help would be appreciated!!
