Data collection storage

Hi , I have configured collectd-configuration.xml to collect data once in 3 minutes. In datacollection-config.xml , I have specified 3 minutes time to store data in rrd. I have checked the jrobin file and the data was getting collected and stored once in 3 minutes interval. The configuration for round robin archive looks like, <rra>RRA:LAST:0.5:1:1488</rra> The datas are stored in archive info once in 3 minutes. For eg :The data collected was 720 at 3:15:00 pm.In data source info ,i am getting the last value as 720.But in archive data, i am getting different values like 620,330 etc... Can you please tell me how the data's will be stored in jrobin archive ? Whether the data was getting accumulated and stored in archive info?
