IMAPS service cannot be monitored

Dear all,

I am using opennms version 1.12.3-1 and checked in the source code that 
org.opennms.netmgt.poller.monitors.ImapMonitor is currently not able to 
monitor IMAPS (TLS/SSL based) connections.

Is there a workaround to monitor an IMAPS service?
