As an aside, I'm also getting this pop up error when going to the "Dashboard".....I'm guessing its related to not being able to access the surveillance.

com.google.gwt.user.client.rpc.StatusCodeException: 500 The call failed on the server; see server log for details

Complete it should look like the attached one.

Please post your config for the surveillance view and the complete exception.
Try it with the default surveillance view config, too.
