Hi Patrick,

Have you tried this command?

sudo update-alternatives --display java

This will display which versions are installed and the last line of
output shows which one the system thinks is the "best" one.  If it's
wrong, see the update-alternatives discussion in this:

It's not askCentos.com but it worked for me.
