Hi everybody,

I'm not an expert on linux systems, I have only a small previous experience on HP-UX from about 20 years ago, so please be patient if I say something stupid :-)

I'm installing OpenNMS stable on Ubuntu 14.10 LTS, following the instructions in http://www.opennms.org/wiki/Installation:Debian. During the process, version 9.4 of postgresql was installed. Later, when trying to install opennms, I got unmet dependencies. After some tracking I realized there was no iplike-pgsql94 package available. I installed postgresql 9.3 from the repository and now opennms is installing. I tried to uninstall 9.4 before installing 9.3, I thought I had done it sucessfully, but when I restart the service I see both - 9.3 and 9.4 - are restarted.

Is it a problem to have them both in the system? How long untill iplike-postgresql94 is available? I'm doing only a test install for learning purposes, the "serious" install will come later :-)

Thanks a lot.
