Make sure your firewall rules allow access to port 8980. If you are on
the system, what Patrick says with localhost should work.

If you are not sure, on a remote box type:

telnet <ip of server> 8980

and that should tell you if you can connect to port 8980.

If not, check the logs in /opt/opennms/logs.
