The OpenNMS installer depends on access to template1 so that it can =
create the OpenNMS database if it does not exist. It also uses a =
connection to template1 to do some verification checks when issuing some =
PGSQL commands.

You should be able to remove the opennms-admin jdbc-data-source from =
opennms-datasources.xml after install is done. You might/probably? need =
to add it back in when running the installer again on upgrades.

Would you mind opening an issue for the password issue on =
issues.opennms.org? I don=E2=80=99t expect that it would take much to =
create a unit test to test for failures there.
