Patch Set 2:

Patch set 2 adds the missing CMake source and non-Windows test target, converts the driver to cmocka, verifies descriptors 0, 1, and 2 survive, restores the full license headers, and documents the helper. The CMake main and focused targets build, CTest passes, and the Clang native and GCC forced-fallback tests both pass.
