Thanks a lot for the log. Unfortunately there is nothing hinting at a 
problem in the log.

Can you please check if dmesg is reporting any error while you are 
attempting to connect?

I am wondering if support for chachapoly is compiled in the kernel 
crypto API. Maybe OpenWrt has that disabled by default (wireguard uses a 
different API)
