I know about easy-rsa, is there an easy-ed25519 or, if we can take that approach, are we back to determining how to do it with openssl? It's called easyrsa, but it can do ed* as well. It's all about tuning the right params so that openssl is invoked accordingly when creating keys/certs. To the easyrsa user this is mostly transparent as the PKI creation works the same way.
