Hi, I am setting up a poptop server with PPTP and MPPE 128bit encryption. It is a VPN server that just forwards traffic to the public internet. Does anybody know of any resource requirements necessary per connected client? I mean in terms of apprx MB RAM and Mhz CPU per connected client? Ofcourse it depends on what each client is doing, but I'm looking for ballpark figures on a worst-case scenario, so would need rough figures on say, each client down/up loading at 2mbit/sec. Or whatever numbers/stats I can find would be great, so I at least have *some* indication of how to scale my system. Would be much appreciated if someone is aware of any studies on the matter.
