Hi  James,

Thanks for your information. I found pptpd_1.3.4-3_mips.deb  at the web you 
provided. It means that I can run it directly under our embedded linux 
platform? (maybe this is a stupid questiob) Or it is run on Debian with MIPS 
hardware architecture? I would like to know how to cross-compile  PopTop 
1.3.4 step by step from the source code, similar to the web documents where 
it guided: http://poptop.sourceforge.net/dox/source-howto.html
