Re: updates resolv.conf

You haven't said what distribution you are running. That would be
relevant.  My guess is Fedora or CentOS.

You should look in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifdown-post, and
probably in the matching ifup script as well.

Check /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-pppp* - look for PEERDNS
and RESOLV_MODS.
