I just checked with client and as per them this server is being used as ftp server.
They want to setup proftp log file in a such a way that it track ftp users activity.

Please help me with the entries which I need to add in /etc/proftpd.conf to track ftp user activity.
I have shared current proftpd.conf file details in my earlier email.

Also I can see /var/log/xferlog is generating ftp related logs.

Nilesh,

Solaris 11.3 uses proftpd as the default ftp server. The package are service/network/ftp and network/ftp. I don’t have a Solaris 11.2 so I cannot confirm whether 11.2 is using proftpd. But if /etc/proftpd.conf is there natively, it is likely to be.

Please enable the ftp server “svcadm enable network/ftp” and check.

We have received request from client to setup proftp in their solaris 11.2 server.
Currently I can /etc/proftp.conf file is present on the server but when I check package info , there is no such package with the name proftp.

Please assist.
