[Proftpd-user] No carriage return

I have about 800 computers (they are remote monitoring units) running a 12-year-old ftp client that only terminates lines with a newline, not with carriage return/newline. Earlier this week the server to which these clients connect was upgraded. It’s now running version 1.3.6 of proftpd. I have no idea what version it was running before. None of the clients are able to connect, because when they send the USER command the server doesn’t respond because it only sees NL, not CR/NL. Has this behavior changed in a recent proftpd release? Is there any way to get it to go back to the old behavior of allowing only the newline? Ironically, I can’t send an update to the clients because that would require them to be able to connect to the ftp server. Unless I can fix the server, I won’t be able to reconnect to the clients. Any help? _______________________________________________ ProFTPD Users List <[email protected]> Unsubscribe problems? http://www.proftpd.org/list-unsub.html
