Brad, you need to post more of your config so we can help you better. Brad> After the user tries to upload multiple files, they get an error Brad> "File uploaded ok, however there is an issue with permissions". Brad> When I look at the file, the permissions are messed up. In my config I Brad> have Brad> User www-data Brad> Group foundry Brad> When I look at the file from shell I get... Brad> User 65533 Brad> Group foundry To me, that just means you are using virtual users in a seperate set of user/group files. Do you have the AuthUserFile and AuthGroupFile settings? If so, it's not unexpected that the ownership will look different in the shell than in the ftp session. Brad> When they upload just one file, they don't get the error message but the Brad> permissions are still messed up. What do the logs for proftpd say? Brad> proftpd-1.3.7rc4 Brad> This is a recent development, with installing 1.3.7, previously Brad> 1.3.6 seems to work. I just don't want to go backwards. Did you update your config at all? And if you leave the config the exact same, but fall back to the older verion and it still works, then we really need to see more logs. So how did you install 1.3.7rc4? Did you self compile and install into a new location? Did you make sure the rc4 version is loading the right modules, etc?
