I posted this question to Github at https://github.com/proftpd/proftpd/issues/1279 and was directed to send the question here.

I am hoping to find a way to block a LIST command by throwing a permission denied error or something similar when a LIST command is sent to proftpd where specifying a directory, not a file.

I do not want it to fail when a LIST command is sent, specifying a file.

There is other info in the posted issue.

I appreciate any info or suggestions that can be provided.
