3 strikes:

1) you replied to a post to start a new thread, rather than using your MUA's 
'new' function.  (actually, you replied to the welcome message, so it isn't 
technically a post, but you still replied to a message of some sort to start 
a new thread, which is bad.)

2) you said 'lol'.  IMHO, saying 'lol' automatically lowers your IQ by 25 
points.  In extreme cases of 'lol', 'rofl', 'lmao' usage, I might even go as 
far as 40, but never more than 50.

3) you posted multi-part alternative.. but there was no alternative part?! ;)

please give us some details about the network that lies between your client 
and your server (ie, server is on a cable modem behind nat and client is 
behind nat at work, etc)

I've seen questions asked about TLS and firewalls in the past, and the general 
concensus is that it doesn't work well, if at all.  Unfortunately, I've never 
bothered setting up TLS, since if I want to transmit securely, I just scp ;)
