RE: pure-ftpd & large uploads.

I have recompiled pure-ftp with large files, and running it with the k switch (it works)... however I'm in a test environment, which means I can't really simulate what the end users may want to do. that being said, how does pure-ftp 'handle' uploads...it is possible for me to have 4 uploads of 5GB at a time: 
a) would it  be storing these files on a <temp> dir first, and them moving them to their respective locations? if so what is the path? and can I change this path?
b) how well does the resume feature work (-K) under the worse case scenario? resuming all 4 files, with half of the files already uploaded?

I chose to compile the pureftpd without the largefile option, and later I had to upload a large nearly 5 GB file. So the uploading worked for me, even over 2GB, but if the upload crashesh it is not resumable. I should have installed the --with-largefile thingy. Actually why does it exist... everyone may have the need to upload a big file.

Hi,
to enble files > 2GB you should compile pureftpd with --with-largefile option,
and the -K switch should allow uploads to be resumed
