IIRC, partial files are stored as .pureftpd-upload.random.stuff.here inside 
the directory they're being uploaded to until the file is finished uploading 
or the connection is closed for any reason.

that, I'm not sure, I've never created a 4GB file, let alone tried moving one 
around :)
