This is coming from a total newbie. so please bare with me.

I've just managed to set it up (thanks for making it easy to setup a basic user ftp server).

Now my questions and I have read the html manual but failed to see my questions answered there.

1. My root web folder to serve sites is /srv/www/htdocs/UserName/site I'd like it so that when a user logs in via ftp that they are dumped right away into that directory, for example, user A logs in via ftp, I'd like him to start his session at /srv/www/htdocs/UserA/hisdomain name. Is this at all possible. Also I dont want him backing out of his directory, so he can't go backwards to /srv/www/htdocs and see all the other users that are listed. Again is this possible?

2. I dont want users wandering all over the system, I created a local user, with just dialup (dont know why that happens) and ftp groups, logged him in via ftp, and it took him to / Obviously Im missing something somewhere.

3. I personally use golive 5 to create sites on my laptop then upload them to the server, can't seem to get passive mode to work, wont connect to the pure-ftpd server, also when I try to upload all files at once in golive 5.0, it errors out and says I can't do that, Im assuming it has something to do with overwriting the files on the server, but Im a total newb.

Maybe someone on this list can help me with this.

Thanks in advance.
