Virtual quotas qith Mysql backend

Hi,

I'm using pure-ftpd 1.0.20 (Mandriva 2006 rpm). I store my users in MySQL
database. I use the virtual quota fetature of the daemon as well.
As my users are virtual, they don't exist on my Linux system.
The home directory and files in the home directory of the users are owned by uid
and gid defined in MySQL for the particular user.
I found that pure-quouacheck program can check and update virtual quota files of
pure-ftpd. My problem is that it doesn't work in my case. Is it possible to use
pure-quotacheck if users are stored in MySQL and don't exist on the system?

I get the folling error messages:

Runnin as root:
pure-quotacheck -d /users/home/directory
Invalid/insecure uid - must be > 0

pure-quotacheck -u nobody -d /users/home/directory
Unable to update the quota file (.ftpquota): [Permission denied]
Comment: /users/home/directory is not owned by nobody.

Please advise.
