sftp v's ftp over ssl..

Hi,

I have been running pure-ftpd for a while now with no problems.   There 
has been a request to now run sftp.  As pure-ftpd over ssl only encrypts 
the commands and username/password  not the data.  Is there a good 
alternative that people have used which is just as good.
