Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Tobias Abt (tabt) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: scrolling regression between 1.3.1 and 1.4.0 (upto 1.5.0) Initial Comment: The main symptom is that scrolling in e.g. Firefox or Excel does not stop immediately after releasing the mouse button or the cursor keys but instead continues to scroll for several seconds. In 1.3.x the scrolling stops as soon as you release the mouse button or key. It is more obvious when you: - have a slower client computer (old thin client or VIA chipset with e.g. 533 MHz or less) and - the window of the application that scrolls is bigger (e.g. fullscreen 1280x1024) The rdesktop versions were built using standard options except prefix (/opt/rdesktop/1.x.y) and sound set to OSS. The command line is /opt/rdesktop/1.x.y/bin/rdesktop -K -D -N -r sound:local -k de -g 1280x1024 -a 16 <SERVER> P.S.: the same happens with Citrix ICA, but there is a configuration parameter: http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX105010 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2009-06-15 17:31 Message: I can confirm this still happens in 1.6 in several instances: - running rdesktop 1.6 on CentOS 5, either from an older thin client or from a 1.6GHz netbook using XDMCP to access server, fullscreen or not - running rdesktop 1.6 fullscreen on Ubuntu Jaunty on a 1.6GHz netbook In both cases were connecting to Server 2003 with Terminal Services, and to XP. It does not happen on Ubuntu Jaunty on the netbook if rdesktop is not fullscreen. This was the bug that caused a number of linux-based thin clients to get replaced with XP boxes here. :( ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=381347&aid=1802937&group_id=24366 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Crystal Reports - New Free Runtime and 30 Day Trial Check out the new simplified licensing option that enables unlimited royalty-free distribution of the report engine for externally facing server and web deployment. http://p.sf.net/sfu/businessobjects
